How to write a blog post that ranks and brings in leads
One question per post, a clear title, a useful answer and one next step. Here is the simple checklist we use before publishing.
A post ranks when it answers the exact question someone typed into a search box, better than the pages already there. Everything else is detail.
Pick one question
Write the question as a customer would ask it. "How much does a conference AV setup cost?" beats "Our AV services". One post, one question.
Write the title and description for people
The search title appears in Google results. Keep it under 60 characters and put the question's key words first. The description is your pitch under the title: under 160 characters, with a reason to click.
Answer early, then go deeper
Give the short answer in the first paragraph. Use headings that read like questions, because readers and search engines scan them.
Add proof
A price range, a photo from a real job, or a number from your own work makes a post harder to copy.
End with one next step
The lead form under every post is the next step. Mention it in your last paragraph so the reader knows what happens if they fill it in.
